Houseboat Freycinet now in online auction. Anyone can bid until June 19, 2023. A 1950 Freciney type boat from the Cherbourg shipyards for bulk transport, converted to a houseboat by bargees and shortened to 29.50 m in 2005. The living space includes a living room 10m by 4.5m with fitted kitchen, 1 bedroom and bathroom + WC at the front, accommodation for bargees at the rear + a cabin for the wheelhouse. The boat was used as a merchant vessel until 2005, then as a home in Reins from 2006 to 2012 and in Cork from 2012 to present. Equipped kitchen, oil central heating + wood stove, front room, bathroom with shower, toilet, living room with kitchen +/- 45 sqm small room for the wheelhouse, accommodation for skippers to be rearranged with possibility of a second bathroom. The boat has been converted into a house for the front part, containing a bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a laundry room, a toilet. This 27M ketch was custom built by Trehard shipyard in Antibes, France in 1984. The collapsible hydraulic keel allows it to access beaches and ports with very low depths of water. The yacht was refitted in 2004, 2008 and 2013. This involved a total reconstruction of the interior of the boat, maintaining the original layout. The first refit in 2004 included complete renovation of the engine room (including engine, generators, fittings, pumps, etc.), installation of the most modern navigation equipment, complete renovation of the electrical fittings and plumbing, renovation of the masts and rigging, cross-trees and boom, painting and caulking of the whole boat, restructuring of the stern deck, covering the steps to the transom door and gangway, full renovation of the interior with mahogany wood, completely replaced kitchen fittings and appliances. Further refits were undertaken in 2008 and 2013 and included 14mm Burmese teak added on to the whole deck, Rondal fitted hatches, modification of the cabin and bathtub by adding space for additional comfort, simplification of the deck movements, replacing winches and deck gear, sandblasting of the aluminium, caulking and painting, reviewing of cables, cross-trees and change of boom. This North Coast 120’ is a spectacular yacht with an extensive refit that occurred in 2021-2022, taking over 12 months and close to $2M which has been invested in her.  She underwent a complete paint job, top to bottom, with 2 coats of Awlgrip Total Prime 545 and 3 topcoats of Awlcraft 2000 Snow White at the prestigious Roscioli Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL.While out of the water, all underwater components - thru-hull fittings, underwater gear stabilizers, bow thrusters, etc. - were serviced and maintained.  Additionally, prior to paint, all deck fittings, cleats and winches were removed, serviced and replaced after paint.  Extensive work was also performed on the custom hydraulic swim platform, fire system and other major systems which were updated or serviced.  A complete W6 was performed down to crank and bearings and a complete engine rebuild down to zero time by Marine Power in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Classic Alan Pape Williams Boatyard 73 Ft ketch moored in Valencia, Spain Unique and distiguished design by Alan Pape, built 1977-90 of iroko and mahogany by the well-known Williams Boatyard in Falmouth, Cornwall, UK. Completely refitted during 18 months in 2018/19: hull, rigging, all electronics were taken care of, masts repainted etc, total costs near to €300.000. As a traditionally built wooden boat of high quality, her interior is warm in winter and cool in summer. The building is carvel planked with 50mm Iroko on laminated 100mm Iroko frames every 300mm. The keel is 8 tons of cast iron, the chain plates and all fixtures on deck are either stainless steel or bronze. Bow cabin with two beds in V-shape, followed by heads on starboard. There is a complete pantry in U-form on starboard and a cosy dinette in front of it. Further back is the enormous saloon with the main entry. The saloon has a gangway on starboard with two beds on top of each other which leads to the big owner cabin including en suite heads and a separate access to the cockpit. On mid-ship and port is the engine room with it’s working area. Engine running flawless. There is an invoice with V.A.T. paid on the bare hull from 1977.
