Country Cyber Security Officer Our client is an international company with thousands of employees worldwide and industry leader. Country Cyber Security Officer (CSO) as a critical role is responsible for achieving all cyber security business objectives of the Representative Office and reports directly to the CEO of local Representative Office. Key Responsibilities: Effective communication and brand building: Work with local Public Affairs Department team to establish and improve the cyber security vision and implementation; Establishment of local security assurance mechanism: According to corporate cyber security policies, local laws and regulations, cyber security requirements of governments/industry organizations and customers, and working with local Business Groups, HR, Legal, and IT, develop the cyber security plan of the Local Rep. Office, establish cyber security business system, set up and optimize relevant business processes to meet cyber security requirements, be responsible for the management, supervision and implementation; organize internal effective communication and training to improve the cyber security awareness of all employees in the Representative Office. Collection and analysis of cyber security requirements: Establish and strengthen the end to end cyber security assurance system; identify first-hand cyber security best practices and collect and react to concerns of government of the local country, security organizations and customers as security requirements for the improvement of business departments; participate in and provide appropriate suggestions on the development of security policies and optimizing the end to end process of the company. Crisis management: As the coordinator of managing security crisis of the local country, develop and execute the crisis management mechanism to minimize the negative impact; take advantage of the crisis to further messaging and branding goals. Over 10 years work experience in ICT industry and cyber security, with extensive knowledge of cyber security and technology, preferably from a diverse technology company or broadly based engineering/ supply chain. Have the gravitas and be recognized in the industry as having knowledge and credibility in technology, security and/or product development. Be a Team Player, willing to work with colleagues from different countries; must be a self-starter, diligent, yet pragmatic. Be aware of telecom security certification authorities in Europe, their processes and procedures. Be an outstanding external communicator who has demonstrable experience of communicating complex and sensitive information and topics. Linguistic Competences: Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Competences: The strategic thinking consistent with a best practice thought leader in order to identify and implement goals and strategies; Demonstrated ability to understand complex business issues and subsequently identify solutions that can be effectively implemented in a regional/global environment; Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds while at the same time ensuring that everyone is working together in; Excellent public speaking skills; capable of establishing the necessary credibility, support and buy in of external organizations in order to ensure an ongoing favourable business environment; Strong interpersonal relationships skill necessary to develop and manage relationships with senior officials and customers; Crisis management skills; skills to thrive in a Crisis Management situation through effective leadership and problem solving ability; Without necessarily the direct authority, able to drive collaboration between different business units and organization through effective coordination and communication.
