Funivia is a metal track lighting system, produced by the famous Artemide brand. This system allows multiple possibilities both in the field of indoor and outdoor lighting. The light elements hook onto the cable thanks to a bridge element, which mechanically fixes the luminaire and takes the energy from the cable to power it. We start from the essential, with an "mountaineering" spirit, discovering a new level of freedom of light in the spaces, now both internal and external. A rope, the cable that supplies energy and the nails, the elements used to fix in space, form the basis for going well beyond the limits dictated by the rigidity of standard systems. The cable, with a special minimum section able to withstand mechanical tensions and thermal stress, is the channel that distributes the systems energy. Starting from a single power supply, it can operate indefinitely, with the only limit of the installed power along its length. The luminous elements are connected to the cable by means of a "bridge" element, node of the immaterial network of the BLL signal through which all the luminaires can communicate with the Artemide App. Cableway is inclusive, it hosts products that already exist; the cable connection module is a universal system that translates energy into an "Esperanto" of light. Funivia Outdoor shows the potential of this open platform, hosting products already present in the Artemide outdoor collections. It is a sign of the dialogue and shared values between the architects who design for Artemide, who embrace common principles expressed in different languages according to the skills of each individual designer. Thanks to these properties, Funivia has evolved into a system capable of satisfying our lighting needs even outdoors.
