Botin 65 - King Marine built carbon 65ft racer, like new Sailing yacht High Spirit is a BOTIN 65 built by Spanish shipyard King Marine and launched end 2015. She was based on the design of sailing yacht Caro. There were no costs spared in building this magnificent racer. Only the best yachting suppliers were involved in this project. +++++ Eerste eigenaar +++++ Voor de Azimut Magellano 43 werd de bekende Britse scheepsarchitect Bill Dixon de opdracht gegeven om een romp te ontwikkelen, die bij elke snelheid tussen 10 en 20 knopen, comfort en stabiliteit kon bieden, ook in ruige weersomstandigheden. Dixon ontwierp de inmiddels beruchte Dual Mode Hull, een hybride ontwerp met een moderne diepe V voor de boegsectie, overgaand in een rondspantvorm achteraan. De Dual Mode romp garandeert perfecte vaareigenschappen, ook minder goede weersomstandigheden. De Magellano 43 vaart soepel en bijzonder geruisarm en over het hele toerentalbereik blijft het jacht ongeveer dezelfde hellingshoek aanhouden. Rond 1300 toeren varen we 8 knopen en de verbruiksmeters geven aan dat er dan 15 liter brandstof per uur verbruikt wordt. Het is zeker prettig varen op deze snelheid en het jacht blijft heel stabiel en betrouwbaar aanvoelen. Met de gashandels voluit bereiken we, leeg en schoon, de 23 knopen. De Nederlandse architect Cor D. Rover kreeg de opdracht het jacht verder te ontwerpen en zo is er dus veel aandacht besteed aan gebruiksgemak, robuustheid en vooral veiligheid. De diepe en brede gangboorden, het zware ankerbeslag; het bewijs van een serieus uitgeruste cruiser. Het interieur komt van de hand van huisarchitect Carlo Galeazzi. De galley is gesitueerd tussen de cockpit en de salon en is compleet uitgerust met onder meer een Miele combimagnetron, ceramische kookplaat, spoelbak en aan bakboordzijde een koelkast en extra bergruimte. De dinette is ruim en heeft een klapbare tafel, met er tegenover een groot dressoir met de TV, electrisch paneel en enorm veel bergruimte. Door de twee grote klapbare ramen en de twee grote handbediende schuifdaken geeft het interieur een ongekend licht en open gevoel. De stuurstand is ontworpen voor lange reizen. Een perfect zittende stuurstoel en een uitgebreid dashboard met werkelijk alle info die u maar wenst. Raymarine navigatie apparatuur met onder meer een marifoon, autopilot, radar en een grote kaartplotter, maar ook een camera, AIS en weerstation. Op het benedendek vinden we de grootste verassing van dit 43 voet motorjacht. Aan de bakboordzijde de gastenhut met veel natuurlijk licht en voldoende bergruimte, aan stuurboordzijde de gasten badkamer/dag toilet met aparte douchecabine en dakluik voor veel natuurlijk licht en ventilatie. Voorin het jacht vinden we de ruime ownerscabin, met ensuite een erg ruime badkamer, alles in de bekende luxueuze Italiaanse setting. Die grote verassing vinden we aan de stuurboordzijde, als we de derde cabine binnen stappen. Deze derde hut is uitgevoerd als bergruimte die onmisbaar is op uw lange reizen. Vanzelfsprekend is deze hut eenvoudig om te toveren tot een derde cabine waardoor er 5 mensen kunnen slapen.
