For sale is a Baltic 55 DP modified for exploration from 1989 GRYNING is hull #9 and as such, the last of the popular Baltic 55's built. GRYNING was expertly outfitted for short handed passage making when built. She has primarily been captain maintained and constantly upgraded.  In 2015 she was converted/upgraded for Polar Explrations and sailed into the most difficult weather conditions in the North Sea, Med and North Atlantic Ocean, without any issues. With her shoal draft wing keel and user friendly deck layout, she is a perfect world cruiser. GRYNING was extensively refit during winters 1999/2000, 2000/2001, 2003/2004, 2005/2006 and 2013 at the BALTIC YACHTS SHIPYARD. During the winter of 2013 she was at a Baltic yard where a lifecycle service was done.  GRYNING is a truly fast and comfortable passage maker. A lot of the upgrades, such as larger engine with matched propeller, carbon fiber rudder, carbon fiber pocket boom, carbon fiber mast and other sail handling equipment she has received over the past few years have further enhanced her speed and ease of handling.Under power she has a cruising speed of 8 knots at 2,200 rpm and 9+ knots at 85% engine power. AK 1 is a 2007 Sunseeker Predator 62 that has been very well maintained and presents itself in very good overall condition. The yacht, is commercially registered in Malta, carrying the Malta flag, VAT not paid. Should VAT apply upon the sale of the yacht, the buyers could opt to set up a company in Malta and purchase the yacht under the said Company. The company could lease the yacht to the shareholder over an allowable period of 25 years, thus spreading the VAT payable over the same period and paying around 1% VAT per annum throughout the duration of the lease.  Depending on the service providers, the annual maintenance cost of the company is around EUR5,000.  The other option is to take advantage of the Malta VAT rate being 18% and paying outrightly the VAT in Malta. Alternatively, being a commercial yacht, if you decide to retain the yacht for a charter operation, the yacht could be sold and retained as VAT not paid. With respect to the overall condition of AK1, the yacht’s interior was upgraded by the previous owner to a more modern look as can be evidenced from the pictures in this brochure. All exterior cushions were changed as well. The present owners did not spare any expenditure to maintain the yacht to the highest standards; service and maintenance invoices are available and can be shared. Ak1, is a 3 cabin Sunseeker, two double and one with bunks, a sizeable saloon on the main deck and leading to the Galley and breakfast area located at the lower deck. The exterior is very spacious with sunbathing areas at the aft and the foredeck, a large bathing platform that lowers and lifts making manoeuvring of any tender and toys relatively easy, whilst one can spend time on the platform submersed in the water, enjoying the sun and the sensation of freshness of the sea. I custom-built this 2015 70' /"PIPE DREAMER/" for a 4 time repeat Viking owner. He is also a NJ resident and spent a lot of time with his captain inspecting his boat every weekend making sure she was built to his exact specifications and nothing was missed.
