La 850 T5 aveva inoltre cerchi da 16 pollici, nuovi silenziatori di scarico e una nuova linea. It had many new features such as a fairing integrated instrument console containing the rev. counter, the speedometer with tripmeter, voltmeter, a quartz clock, six warning lights and new design switches; a new front suspension with 38mm fork tube a rear suspension with oil/air dampers; the innovative integral braking system making the braking fluid moving simultaneously and compensate the front and the rear disc which are so balanced to avoid seizing the wheels, while the lever on the handlebar moves independently the second disc brake on the front wheel.
