Indeling De stuurhut is met een lange bank een fijne zitplek met 360 graden zicht rondom over de haven. Naast het grote houten stuurwiel staan de motorbediening en het instrumentenpaneel, twee marifoons en de AIS. In de achterkant van de stuurhut zit een deurtje, die toegang geeft tot het roefdak met een ruim dakterras. De sierlijke koekoek kan eventueel als bankje gebruikt worden. De oorspronkelijke schipperswoning in de roef is verbouwd tot een ruime woonkeuken, met een grote koelvrieskast, een vierpits inductiekookplaat met afzuigkap en een elektrische heteluchtoven. De met de hand op maat gemaakte esdoorn-houten keuken biedt met ruime lades en kasten veel opbergruimte. Langs de wanden zijn twee lange banken en een korte vaste bank, met bergruimte eronder. Naast de opklapbare trap naar de stuurhut is een compact toilet. Vanuit de stuurhut voert een trap naar het woonruim langs de theehut, die is ingericht als garderobe en ruimte biedt aan de wasmachine en de droger. In het voormalige vrachtruim is een grote woonkamer aanwezig met veel daglicht. In de woonkamer is aan één kant een vaste kastenwand met een bureau gemaakt. De pelletkachel zorgt voor een aangename warmte. Vanuit de woonkamer loopt een gang naar voren, die toegang biedt tot aan de ene kant een grote slaapkamer met inloopkast en aan de andere kant een badkamer met ligbad en douche, toilet en wastafelmeubel. Aan het eind van de gang zijn twee slaapkamers die gescheiden zijn met een vouwschuifwand. Het vooronder is buitenom bereikbaar via een ruime entreekoekoek en is ingericht als werk- en klusruimte. Geschiedenis Het schip is in 1924 gebouwd bij de werf van Suylekom in Raamsdonkveer met een gloeikop Bolnes motor van 45 pk. De vorige eigenaren hebben het schip in 1992 recht uit de vrachtvaart gekocht. Zij hebben alles in de machinekamer vervangen, een stalen dek in het ruim gelast en het ruim verbouwd tot woning met 3 slaapkamers, badkamer en woonkamer. Van de roef, de oorspronkelijke woning van de schippersfamilie (achter de stuurhut), hebben zij een grote woonkeuken gemaakt. In 2000/2001 hebben zij met hun 2 kinderen (toen 8 en 12 jaar oud) een heel jaar met het schip gevaren door België en Frankrijk, tot aan de Middellandse Zee. De huidige eigenaar is sinds 2009 in het bezit van de Neeltje. Zij heeft met de Neeltje voornamelijk in Nederland gevaren. Ligplaatsmogelijkheden Aan boord van de Neeltje in de Erfgoedhavens ben je deel van een rustige historische haven midden in het centrum van de grootste havenstad van Europa. Hier is Rotterdam zo’n 700 jaar geleden ontstaan. Onder de ruim 100 historische schepen in de Erfgoedhavens heerst gemeenschapszin en hulpvaardigheid. Aan de Oude Haven is bovendien de Stadswerf Koningspoort gevestigd met een scheepshelling, een kraan en een metaal- en houtwerkplaats, waar historische schepen heen kunnen voor onderhoud, ook van het onderwaterschip. De vaste lasten voor de Neeltje zijn het jaarlijkse liggeld aan de Stichting Erfgoedhavens Rotterdam (circa €1.900) inclusief milieu- en afvalstoffenheffing. Techniek Het schip is voorzien van gangboorden, een achterdek en een ruim voordek. Op de dichtgelaste kap is een nieuwe houten luikenkap aangebracht. Op de luikenkap kan een bijboot staan, die met een davit, die tegen de theehut is bevestigd, te water gelaten kan worden. Rondom het gangboord zit een stevige hoge reling. Op het voordek staat een ankerlier voor twee klipankers en op het achterschip zit een dreganker. Aan de voor- en achterkant van de luikenkap zijn herften aangebracht voor het opbergen van meertouwen en ander scheepsmateriaal. Tegen het voorste herft is de lichtmast bevestigd. De machinekamer herbergt alle techniek: de DAF-hoofdmotor, een 230/400 V generator, vier accu’s, twee omvormers/acculaders, een extra gasoliekachel, een boiler, een vuilwaterpomp en een hydrofoor. Ook bevat de machinekamer twee gasolietanks van elk 1100 liter en een vuilwatertank van 1500 liter. Samen met een 5000 liter schoonwatertank in het voorschip is het schip zelfvoorzienend tijdens langere vaartochten. De CV-moederhaard in het ruim stookt op pellets en is in de machinekamer aangesloten op een systeem op gasolie als back-up. Alle verblijfsruimtes in het schip en de machinekamer zijn voorzien van radiatoren. Het schip is bijzonder goed geïsoleerd en is in de winter met laag-temperatuurverwarming prima warm te houden. De ramen in de roef, stuurhut en het ruim kunnen open voor ventilatie en koeling. Tijdens zeer warme dagen zorgt een ingebouwde ventilator voor verkoeling. Aan beide kanten zijn onder het gangboord kabelgoten aangebracht voor het leidingwerk. In de luikenkap zit een groot verhuisluik om grote meubels in het woonruim te krijgen. In januari 2024 is het schip uit het water geweest voor keuring en onderhoud. Het vlakrapport van 2017, 2011 en van 2004 zijn aanwezig. Het schip is voorzien van een CBB-veiligheidscertificaat, dat verlengd wordt in 2024. De techniek is in orde; er zijn rookmelders en de verplichte brandblussers en reddingsvesten aan boord. Ook is het schip ingeschreven met een Blauwe Pas in het Register Varend Erfgoed Nederland als varend monument. Uniek Woonschip met twee V-12 Dieselmotoren en Schottel-aandrijving. Uitermate geschikt voor bewoning of lange reizen naar bv. Fankrijk of Duitsland de XL12 is een uniek varend woonschip voor de binnen-, alsook voor de kustwateren. Het is relatief laag gebouwd (minimale doorvaarthoogte: 3.50 meter) met de bedoeling om vrijwel geheel Europa te kunnen bevaren. in Nederland kan ze prima uit de voeten, op vrijwel alle binnenwater en ook op de Waddenzee richting de eilanden. Ook Duitsland, rondom Berlijn, en de Rijn is te bevaren. Het schip heeft een Rijn-certificaat dus ook rivier-op is toegestaan. Frankrijk is door geringe hoogte en maximale breedte van 4.90 te bevaren. met andere woorden: 'ze is uitermate geschikt voor lange reizen en/of permanente of semipermanente bewoning.' Het schip is in 1970 gebouwd op de werf van /"Schottel-Nederland B.V./" te Warmond. Het is één van de weinige Schottel aangedreven schepen die nooit in overheidsdienst heeft gevaren. ze is gebouwd voor een Duitse klant en voer met personeel, een kapitein en matroos, die een aparte woonruimte in het vooronder hadden.
