This Moody 64 was commissioned for the Mediterranean, and is the perfect blue water cruiser. Offering comfort, stability in rougher weather and performance, she is a fast passage-maker. She has the space and high quality living quarters that one expects from the Moody Yard, and is perfect for extended stays aboard. With her dark blue hull she is a very attractive looking yacht. She was antifouled in April 2022, new filters, new timing belt, has had new teak laid two years ago, a new mainsail in 2019, a new water-maker (2019), new gel batteries fitted for 2022. Air Conditioning, ONAN 13.5 KW Generator and even has intercom hand sets below decks.
She can be sailed short-handed with the help of electric winches, and easily reefed main. This particular Moody 64 is in super condition both inside and out, and must be seen. She has been sailed mainly in gentler winds, and has never been sailed hard or in extreme conditions, The rigging was also inspected recently and was reported as being in good condition.

This Nautor's Swan 82 FD /"Grey Goose/" is the perfect combination of performance cruising, easy and safe boat handling with a shorthanded crew and blue water sailing capability. While mostly being used as a fast cruiser, Grey Goose can be easily converted to an aggressive Maxi Cruiser Racer and perform in any race, inshore and offshore. As the current owner is very competitive, he started to improve Grey Goose soon after participating in his first Transatlantic and Swan Maxi regattas. German Frers, the designer of the Swan 82, was tasked to design a new keel, which brought down the center of gravity, improved acceleration, pointing angles and slot keeping dramatically, balancing the boat perfectly in the water. A new rudder was fitted, and the hull was faired with long boards to have the perfect hydrodynamics. The rod rigging was replaced by Future Fibres PBO, standing rigging, which has been replaced by EC6standing rigging in 2012. In 2016 a new Hall Spars high modulus carbon fibre mast (same dimensions as her original mast) has been installed with four low profile spreaders, giving more strength and reducing weight by approx. another 350 kg. Increasing the righting moment significantly, the new mast has made a considerable improvement in upwind and overall performance. To improve safety and performance, the new mast was fitted with easy to operate halyard locks for all headsails and the Main. In September 2017 her mast was stepped down for the 5 year service of the EC6 rigging and fully serviced.
The sail wardrobe has been designed and developed in close cooperation between the North Lofts in Spain and the UK, taking advantage of the deep knowledge of the sailmakers sailing on board. Grey Goose is now a totally different boat, outperforming any other Swan 82 ever built. She demonstrates the real Swan DNA by accomplishing her missions in a perfect manner being comfortable, sea worthy and very fast. She has proven her outstanding performance in several racing events and in numerous family holidays cruises.
Grey Goose is undoubtedly in outstanding mint conditions. Although many upgrades were made to improve the performance, most of them enlarge the fun factor as well in cruising like less pitching, fast acceleration and direct steering.
At the end of the 2012 season, Grey Goose underwent a second extensive refit at Hinckley Yachts, Portsmouth, RI/USA. This included upgrading the standing rigging to Southern Spars EC6 continuous carbon rigging, painting the hull topsides and aft cockpit, upgrading to VSAT satellite communications, a new, fuel saving generator, as well as many other significant upgrades and improvements, including the interior, the audio- and entertainment and navigation systems. Grey Goose has been rigorously maintained by her owner to keep pace with the numerous technological advancements in luxury yacht construction since her launch. Outdated equipment has been replaced and only top of the line gear has been fitted. This gives her a modern, contemporary feel, comparable to the very latest generation of Swan yachts.
Grey Goose has always been maintained by a highly professional, experienced and dedicated crew, insuring that she was always ready to take her whenever the owner wanted to sail. Her safety equipment has been updated this season, new life rafts, have been bought. GRYNING is hull #9 and as such, the last of the popular Baltic 55's built. GRYNING was expertly outfitted for short handed passage making when built. She has primarily been captain maintained and constantly upgraded.
In 2015 she was converted/upgraded for Polar Explrations and sailed into the most difficult weather conditions in the North Sea, Med and North Atlantic Ocean, without any issues. With her shoal draft wing keel and user friendly deck layout, she is a perfect world cruiser. GRYNING was extensively refit during winters 1999/2000, 2000/2001, 2003/2004, 2005/2006 and 2013 at the BALTIC YACHTS SHIPYARD. During the winter of 2013 she was at a Baltic yard where a lifecycle service was done. GRYNING is a truly fast and comfortable passage maker. A lot of the upgrades, such as larger engine with matched propeller, carbon fiber rudder, carbon fiber pocket boom, carbon fiber mast and other sail handling equipment she has received over the past few years have further enhanced her speed and ease of handling.Under power she has a cruising speed of 8 knots at 2,200 rpm and 9+ knots at 85% engine power. Details: Today, the new ATLANTIC yacht carries on this extraordinary legacy, being a faithful and authentic reproduction of the original. Modern systems and equipment have been installed to satisfy the current regulations on safety at sea, communications, and various entertainment and comfort aspects of life on board. But looking at photos of the original ATLANTIC, and her current day namesake, it is hard to spot significant differences between the two. Beautifully clean decks reflect the yacht’s racing capability but also create the perfect place to enjoy both this vessel and the world around you. The teak laid deck is broken up by the various skylights that allow light to enter the rich and beautifully finished six cabin interior. The master cabin is worthy of the name with its mix of space, grandeur and an impressive en suite. A classical dining room is another feature, along with a salon that might provide the setting for world’s most atmospheric nightcap. Full crew quarters include an impressive galley. The ATLANTIC yacht set the record for the transatlantic crossing at 12 days, 4 hours and 1 minute. A mono-hull record that would stand for 100 years. The schooner was the quintessential cruiser/racer. She could do 17 knots on her steam engine of 400hp, weighing 30 tons including boiler, excluding fuel. Two generators provided for electricity. She had heating, refrigeration, and water heaters. The lobby was executed in marble and the interior was fitted out with the finest mahogany panelling. There were large and luxurious tiled bathrooms (with bath tub) and a large galley.

Maxi catamaran OCEAN PEARL was launched by Multiplex/France as CLUB MEDITERANNEE to compete in “The Race 2000”. Skippered by Grant Dalton she not only won the famous race around the world in March after just over 62 days but also set a new world record for the distance sailed in 24 hours of 655 nm. She continued her successful racing career as “Club Med”, “Maiden II” (new record of 697 nm/24h under Tracy Edwards) and “Doha 2006” with skipper Brian Thompson. In 2017 she was relaunched as OCEAN PEARL after completing an 18-month comprehensive refit and conversion into a fast maxi cruiser catamaran with a light but comfortable interior to accommodate 8 guests and 4 crew. Only high-quality equipment was used to keep the overall weight down. The result is a maxi cruiser racer catamaran offering fast ocean crossing, blue water cruising and/or an exhilarating charter experience in the Med. Now ready to be handed over to a new owner. Steel Motorsailer yachts used to be popular vessels for world sailors until the 70s. The arrival of production yachts in the 60s and the explosion of the charter industry in the following years changed the public perception of yachting.
Today only a few builders offer customized options at a premium price.
Iolair Mara is a unique yacht built-in CA in the late sixties. Her ¼ inch steel hull, her tri keels design, her 5’6”’ draft, and her 3000 nm range under power will sail expeditions all around the globe or entertain charter clients in the Bahamas, HI, or Alaska.
In 1998 she was hauled out for a $ 2.5 M retrofit that was 60 % completed in 2005.
A series of dramatic events follow. She was sized. Stayed 6 years on the hard shrink-wrapped.
The actual owner got her out of the yard in 2012, completed the 40% remaining refit to get her to her original glory.
She was lucky to have found John. It has been a perfect match for both of them. John loves a strong, well-powered world cruiser. He is now proud to offer this showcase vessel for a portion of the price it would cost to build her today.
The Owner will be available to train the buyer and going through the vessel equipment, systems, structure, detailing the yacht maintenance and running procedure.
She is a working vessel in luxurious yachts clothing. Stunning true teak inside and out, (not teak ply) state of the art power plant, new engine in 1998 by Harbor Diesel in Long Beach CA (172 hours at the odometer in 2012 then sailed to Ensenada and hasn’t docked the dock since).
New electrical panel & wiring between 1998 & 2004, new plumbing 2003. New massive Ideal windlass anchoring with 440 ft of 7/16 J4 chain in 2016, 175 lbs Mantus anchor 2016, 60 lbs CQR stern anchor on a GHK Fabrication hydraulic massive horizontal windlass (commercial fishing grade windlass) 2012 new rigging system. New sails from 2005 were installed on the vessel in 2012. They were never sailed until we shot this video. 2001 sandblasted to bare metal ultra-sonic testing in 2012. 12 zincs bar new in 2001 replaced every 3 years. A set of zincs is available on the vessel.
She is well balanced and comfortable in strong weather thanks to her ketch rig. Keels cooled engine and generator for dry exhausts. The 2 side keel is filled with antifreeze. Only 3 though hull on the boat; intake for the head and the intake sea chest. Another through-hull in the side for the water maker.
She is a dock queen American-built hull that could be a successful charter in the US territory thanks to her beautiful interior.
