Via Sora is located in the Parione district, the sixth district of Rome, indicated with R. VI. The name derives from the presence in the district of an ancient wall of enormous size, perhaps belonging to the stadium of Domitian. On the surviving wall there was a medieval tower, remembered with the name of "Torre Parione de Campo": it was located near the Circo Agonale, in the short stretch between S. Tommaso in Parione and the square of Pasquino. The district hosts two of the most famous squares in Rome: Piazza Navona, the scene of mythical parties in an incomparable Baroque setting, and Campo de 'Fiori, the symbol of a profession, that of the florist. like many others that characterize Parione and remain linked to the names of the streets, such as via dei Cappellari, dei Chiavari, dei Baullari, dei Canestrari, dei Leutari or largo dei Librari. Every morning the district wakes up at the first light of dawn with the famous market of Campo de 'Fiori, noisy and colored by food, the most famous of the Roman markets, also mentioned in the film with Anna Magnani and Aldo Fabrizi. Piazza Navona is one of the most fascinating squares in the world, born as a stadium and then becoming a real square, known as one of the symbols of Rome in which two of the most striking examples of the dispute between Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco have long since settled. Borromini. Do not miss Via del Pellegrino with its shops and taverns, Piazza Pasquino with the talking statue of the same name and via del Governo Vecchio. A curiosity is constituted by what is considered the smallest house in Rome located at number 66 and consisting of a single floor and a single window dominated by a terrace.
