Descrizione It isn't uncommon for Porsche to develop one or two special variants of a 911 generation that are to be produced in limited quantities for discerning collectors. The 911R and GT2 RS are just a few of the more recent examples that are aimed at filling a niche that isn't already taken by another 911 in the lineup. By early 2022, enthusiasts had been hearing rumblings of a new special 911 to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later that year- but what Porsche developed was outside anything they have ever produced for public consumption. Called the Dakar, this 911 is built to be driven off-road, with its name coming from the famously grueling Paris-Dakar Rally, which was won overall by a 911 in 1984. Based on a 992 Carrera 4 GTS, the Dakar's ground clearance is 50 mm higher than a standard sport-suspension-equipped Carrera and can be raised an additional 30 mm to get across larger obstacles. Porsche announced from the beginning that they would produce just 2,500 units for the world, and it quickly garnered a significant waiting list. This 2024 911 Dakar is a one-owner example that shows just 150 km from new. Porsche unveiled a number of heritage lives when the Dakar came out, but arguably the most desirable is the “Roughroads” paint scheme seen on this car. Intended to replicate the Rothmans livery seen on the original 911 Dakar race car of the 1980s, this modernized variant looks outstanding and fits with the theme of the car remarkably well. The 19” front and 20” rear 5-spoke wheels are finished in satin black and accented with a colored Porsche crest in the center. Wrapped in knobby Pirelli All Terrain tires, when paired to the suspension lift, these give the car a true go-anywhere look. The interior of the Dakar isn't largely different from that of a standard 911 Carrera GTS but does feature some nice features that would have otherwise been high-price options. To start, a pair of carbon sport bucket seats are upholstered in black leather with gray Race-Tex centers and feature deviated stitching in Shark Blue throughout the cabin. The Shark Blue accents carry through the rest of the cabin with more stitching on the door cards, Race-Tex wrapped dashboard, and color-matched seat belts. All of the Dakars came with a rear-seat deleted, and this one was properly specified with a rear half cage in place of those seats which both adds rigidity to the chassis, as well as making the car safer. Powering the Dakar is a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged flat-6 from the Carrera GTS that is rated for 473 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Even though the Dakar is set up with a heavier wheel and tire package, it is still exceptionally quick, with a 0-100 kph time of just 3.4 seconds. To give the car maximum control both on and off-road, the dynamic engine mounts from the 911 GT3 have been added along with two new drive modes to the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control for rallying and off-road. Power then goes through an 8-speed PDK gearbox, which sends power to all 4 wheels, and a rear axle steer system makes for tighter handling both on and off road. With just 2,500 units produced worldwide, the 911 Dakar is certainly going to be a 911 that is collectible for decades to come. The combination of Carrera GTS performance and go-anywhere suspension make this the perfect 911 for really any possible situation. In today’s competitive market it is crucial to stand out from the crowd. The Pearl 75, from the drawing board of British naval architect Bill Dixon, was built to be fitted with Pod Drives - in this case a pair of ZF 4000-series units, coupled to 1,250-HP MTU Diesels. Along with the computer-controlled manoeuvrability that this system offers, it also allows the engines to be mounted well aft in the hull to make space for exceptionally roomy accommodation below decks. Mono-deep V hull, Semi displacement, add to that advantage the fact that the yacht has been designed with an unusually beamy hull. The hull boasts a clear 8 to 9 inches more beam than a similar length, which makes a significant difference to interior volume. The cabins with their pertinent beds are massive, the headroom is pretty generous in most areas, and the cabins are sensibly laid out with plenty of unobstructed floor space. The saloon seems so big as there is no formal dining table to sit down at. Either in the cockpit or up on the flybridge are a generous table where you can accommodate all your guests.
The Pearl 75’s practical, modern, and spacious rectilinear layout, with its subtle use of contrasting tones and textures adds intrigue to various restful shades of grey. Leather and fabric join forces on locker fronts and panelling, echoing the combinations of marble and hardwood used for key floor areas. Dark and light woods add visual depth while high-gloss, white-lacquered deckheads provide a reflective sense of spaciousness.
The lacquered wood trim lends a sense of solid quality. Surprising details include areas of flooring picked out in stainless steel. Crocodile-embossed leather bed bases communicate in their faux-reptilian way with ostrich-effect steel locker handles, which in turn provide tactile opposition to the soft leather used for drawer handles. Thick woollen carpet provides a reassuring sense of luxury. This is a case where an interior design sets a boat apart.Do not miss the opportunity! Please contact me for more information.

I custom-built this 2015 70' /"PIPE DREAMER/" for a 4 time repeat Viking owner. He is also a NJ resident and spent a lot of time with his captain inspecting his boat every weekend making sure she was built to his exact specifications and nothing was missed. He put his 20 plus years of boating experience into the build along with my personal input as well as one of the senior sales guys at Viking. This one is truly a very special built 70 Viking and has probably one of the prettiest interiors of all the boats I helped build. She is a real head turner and has been captain maintained and serviced at the Viking service center since new. A sleek aggressive look, with a sharp-edged feature line that runs from the front of the house to the cockpit and nearly 100 inches of forward freeboard. She was also one of the /"High Performance/" boats Viking built pulling almost 20k pounds of weight out by using Kevlar parts and deck house. She tops out over 41 knots and is truly a very special sport fish.
/"PIPE DREAMER/" is equipped with 2,600-hp MTU M94 diesels, with extended warranties through November 2022, or 4000hours. Viking’s tough build is as well known as its ability to run fast with the handling of a sports car allows better, sharper turning and responsiveness with superior tracking.
The 70' /"PIPE DREAMER's/" speed will come in handy on tournament day, which this boat was truly built for. From her 206-square-foot cockpit and Release Marine fighting chair to her in-deck live well, mezzanine bait stowage, freezer, and more, this 70' can chase the big ones - anywhere.
Palm Beach Tower; Costa flying-bridge enclosure; in-deck livewell; Release teak helm pod; mezzanine A/C; forward window mask; Side-Power bow thruster; custom hull color paint and ceramic coated in 2020; Sea Recovery watermaker; LCD TVs in guest staterooms; Premier edition upgraded decor package; 600-gal. auxiliary fuel tank; Release helm chairs and fighting chair; Eskimo ice chipper; 46' Outrigger Rupp Big Riggs HD, 4 Spreader, Bridge Release.
With the flying-bridge helm set up, the massive cockpit, and enough speed to get anywhere in a hurry, the 70' /"PIPE DREAMER/" is one of the most complete blue water fishing packages on the market.
