Accounting Manager The Client is a fast-growing multinational Pharma Company based in Milan. The Company operates in a specific branch of Pharmaceutical sector and it's one of the most important Company in the business The candidate will be part of the Finance division reporting to the Finance Director and he/she will be responsible of the following activities: manage in autonomy all accounting and reporting activities partially via direct action and partially coordinating the services of external providers, in particular daily accounting, closing process and year-end group and statutory reporting Interact with outsourced service providers in order to ensure timely and compliant tax computation and returns (corporate income tax, VAT, others) Analyze and present to the EMEA Finance team the monthly/quarterly financial results (package), ensuring timely and efficient follow-up Be involved in every financial audits (internal, external, tax, etc.) Support the roll out and efficient development of accounting projects, firstly Project Smart Ensure continue monitoring and development of a robust accounting and controlling infrastructure, via effective controls and identification of process improvement opportunities. To complete written procedures clearly defining accounting processes Manage operationally the relationship with the company's bank Maintain proper quality metrics on key subject matters (DSO and DPO, Accruals, T&E, etc.) Provide support with ad-hoc financial analysis, prepare presentations for Senior Management and perform project work as requested Bachelor degree in accounting or closely related field Essential minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting Department of multinational companies, with proven ability to fulfill accounting/tax requirements in autonomy Robust knowledge of Local GAAP an IFRS Experienced in financial business processes; financial reporting, accounting, including group intercompany activities and legal/tax requirements Advanced computer/systems skills Fluent in English, both written and spoken Willing to work independently, to accept ownership of accounting responsibilities and projects and to have exposure to Senior management Practical experience with service providers and stakeholders Customer centric, able to work under pressure and to balance different priorities Attention to details while keeping sight of the big picture Process improvement mindset (last not least) Uncompromising ethical standards.
