Kempenaar 41m Dutch Barge A lovely and classic Dutch barge, with a very wide beam she is very spacious throughout. MENTOR is a round bilge steel schooner, the hull design is a copy of the Royal Navy’s sea cadet training brigantine “TS Royalist”. She was built to Lloyds A1 survey requirements with 4 main watertight bulkheads and a total of 6 watertight doors. The vessel was built in Fremantle Western Australia by Hoffland Boatbuilders and was completed in time for chartering during the 1987 America’s cup Challenge in Fremantle that year. Designed for chartering, she did so for five years including three years in the Whitsunday islands on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland. MENTOR moved into SE Asian waters some decades ago as home to her original owner and he has enjoyed life afloat for these past years but now sees the time to move to a smaller yacht. He hands the vessel to a new owner in constantly maintained condition, can help with all manner of technical information, indeed he has written manuals on all aspects of maintaining his yacht from refrigeration to removing the rudder.... In fact the vessel has also spent many years ashore here in Langkawi when the owner was away to work. Her ¼ inch steel hull, her tri keels design, her 5’6”’ draft, and her 3000 nm range under power will sail expeditions all around the globe or entertain charter clients in the Bahamas, HI, or Alaska.  In 1998 she was hauled out for a $ 2.5 M retrofit that was 60 % completed in 2005. A set of zincs is available on the vessel. She is well balanced and comfortable in strong weather thanks to her ketch rig. Keels cooled engine and generator for dry exhausts. The 2 side keel is filled with antifreeze. Only 3 though hull on the boat; intake for the head and the intake sea chest. Another through-hull in the side for the water maker. IMMORTALIS was built in 1996 by Niigata shipyard for the Japanese government as a scientific research vessel. Her work included seismic surveying, fish stocks monitoring, carrying large loads and also worked as a crew training vessel.  She has a comprehensive setup of military grade equipment throughout the boat. Every system has a failsafe full backup system.  During 2020/21 she underwent an extensive refit to become a specialized expedition vessel. Built by Astilleros Armon, WAYFINDER is the second catamaran motor yacht to belaunched by her builder, following the launch of the 66.2-metre Hodor in 2019.
