HARMONY II is a custom-built vessel originally constructed as a passenger/cargo ferry and currently classified as a commercial YACHT. HARMONY is unique, a careful blend of traditional style and modern functionality has been maintained throughout, with the interior design mirroring the carefully restored classic exterior. HARMONY is a 189ft classic steel classic mega-yacht, launched in 1954, that has been first fully restored in 2002. The first restoration comprised a total internal and external refit, included the installation of new engines and the replacement of 85 tons of hull plating. Madiz is one of a few yachts to have survived from the early 20th century, and arguably there is no other yacht of this size, age, and original standing remaining. Madiz was built in 1902 by Ailsa Shipbuilding in Troon, Scotland, and at 55.4m is the largest classic motor yacht currently listed for sale. Madiz can also claim the title of the oldest vessel in operation to have Lloyd’s classification. Originally commissioned by James Coates Jnr, from his friend and now legendary yacht designer G L. Watson, Madiz was intended as something of a mothership or support boat to Coates’ sizable schooner-rigged sailing yacht. With the outbreak of World War I, Madiz was taken by the Royal Navy and she served in the Auxiliary Patrol Service. The vessel was returned to pleasure yachting in 1920 and passed through the hands of several British yachtsmen. But it was not long before she was again called to naval service. Post-World War II, the yacht was acquired by the Hon. John North, second son of the 8th Earl of Guilford and with Madiz, he headed for the Mediterranean In 1968, North decided to sell the yacht and she was laid up in Piraeus until she inspired Greek businessman Costas Keletsekis to become her owner. Keletsekis equipped Madiz with new engines and refitted the boat in 2003 to bring her back into class with Lloyds Register 40 years later, in 2010, Madiz was acquired by her current owners and has been lovingly cared for as an icon of classic yachting style. Whilst she has evolved somewhat over her incredible 120-year history, many original features remain Today, this steel-hulled motor yacht is powered by two Mercedes 250Hp engines and has accommodation for 14 guests in seven cabins. Madiz typically runs with a crew of 10 and is served by a 6m Riva Superflorida tender as well as a 6m classic launch.

AK 1 is a 2007 Sunseeker Predator 62 that has been very well maintained and presents itself in very good overall condition. The yacht, is commercially registered in Malta, carrying the Malta flag, VAT not paid. Should VAT apply upon the sale of the yacht, the buyers could opt to set up a company in Malta and purchase the yacht under the said Company. The company could lease the yacht to the shareholder over an allowable period of 25 years, thus spreading the VAT payable over the same period and paying around 1% VAT per annum throughout the duration of the lease.  Depending on the service providers, the annual maintenance cost of the company is around EUR5,000.  The other option is to take advantage of the Malta VAT rate being 18% and paying outrightly the VAT in Malta. Alternatively, being a commercial yacht, if you decide to retain the yacht for a charter operation, the yacht could be sold and retained as VAT not paid. With respect to the overall condition of AK1, the yacht’s interior was upgraded by the previous owner to a more modern look as can be evidenced from the pictures in this brochure. Originally launched as 'EXACT' - this 1964 86ft Classic Canoe Stern Feadship is in need of a complete refit/rebuild. She is currently on the hard in Freeport, Bahamas at Bradford Shipyard. The hull is pitting and estimated to take 6-8 months to rebuild at a cost of approx. 500,000 euro as per Feadship who inspected the vessel. Man-hours for the hull alone is estimated at roughly 7,500. Total refit would be approximately 8m+ euro. Transport to the Netherlands will cost 120,000 EURO.
